  2. Allow access to mapped URL from another workspace, so that a frontend project can talk to a backend (API) project.

For instance, https://3000-idx-sermons-nextjs-1723133529534.cluster-hf4yr35cmnbd4vhbxvfvc6cp5q.cloudworkstations.dev/ making requests to https://3001-idx-sermons-backend-1723134362471.cluster-joak5ukfbnbyqspg4tewa33d24.cloudworkstations.dev/api/some-endpoint

This is presumably possible when it's a client-side request since you'll be logged in to Project IDX, but it's not currently possible for server-side requests - the request gets redirected to the OAuth flow.

This not IDE. If better to use notepad++ instead to use this. First come out mentality of google. In search result, Android, YouTube and etc. In all of this user has few access its necessary because most of user don't know consequence of give him access so you take responsibly its ok but in dev you understand that not normal user.

For example, window OS when you delete file ask permission and send to recycle bin also you don't delete…

  5. Running websites on Project IDX against a Firebase backend is super easy.

However, if AppCheck is enabled on the Firebase project it blocks traffic from the Project IDX hosting, essentially making it impossible to conduct any manual user testing.

Ideally Project IDX hosting should be while-listed in some fashion to allow to connect to Firebase resources protected by AppCheck.

  6. The current online Android emulator is experiencing significant lag and lacks touch responsiveness, impacting the user experience negatively. This hinders developers' ability to efficiently test and debug their Android applications in a simulated environment.

  7. I love that i can connect to a production firebase environment, but can you make it so i can run my emulators from within IDX? i managed with the firebase-tools to setup everything but i just get an error when doing
    firebase emulators:start

i emulators: Starting emulators: auth, functions, firestore
⚠ firestore: Error when trying to check port 8080 on ::1: Error: listen EADDRNOTAVAIL: address not available ::1:8080

  9. Dear Admin,

I already try Project IDX and I feel like this feature is very useful. But, I feel that the workspace limitation is measly. I hope you can increase the limitation from 2 to 5 maybe. It will helpful that you will consider my feedback.

    Thank you.

  12. NestJS, with its modular and scalable architecture, has become increasingly popular in the TypeScript community. Many developers, myself included, have adopted NestJS for its robust features and ease of development. Having the ability to seamlessly integrate NestJS templates into IDX projects would not only streamline the development process but also open up IDX to a larger audience of TypeScript enthusiasts.
I'd like to see enhanced compatibility with NestJS and TypeScript-based templates.

  20. There may be a way to build a custom template, but from the very beginning there should be the ability to change certain settings.

For my particular case, I wanted to build an Angular project using the old modules, and I wish I could select scss from the beginning. I might not have yet found how to do it, but couldn't some common options be available at project creation time?

Or at the very least, a button that says "customize this template" that takes you to a guide or a graphical interface to twiddle with different aspects of the template.
