    We have received an email from Google Cloud stating that Cloud Functions for Firebase (1st gen) will be discontinued and that we are required to migrate to the 2nd gen by March 2026.

    We would like to do so; however, 2nd gen functions cannot be used with Firebase Extensions.

    It is unreasonable to demand that we migrate to the 2nd gen when it is not even supported.

    Rather, we request that Google promptly take action to make 2nd gen Functions available for use with Firebase Extensions.
