Support 2nd generation (v2) Firebase Functions in Firebase Extensions
2nd generation Functions are better in every way and are recommended for almost all new Functions, but can't be used in Extensions (for most trigger types).

We have received an email from Google Cloud stating that Cloud Functions for Firebase (1st gen) will be discontinued and that we are required to migrate to the 2nd gen by March 2026.
We would like to do so; however, 2nd gen functions cannot be used with Firebase Extensions.
It is unreasonable to demand that we migrate to the 2nd gen when it is not even supported.
Rather, we request that Google promptly take action to make 2nd gen Functions available for use with Firebase Extensions.
