   Please do not sunset Firebase Studio! My team has been extremely productive with Firebase Studio. All stakeholders from advanced coders to marketing and executives were able to collaborate in the Studio environment and the Google AI Studio and Antigravity are not a replacement at all. In addition to our digital health products in the company, that we were able to scale 6x more within 6 months, thanks to Firebase Studio, it has been an incredible tool for side businesses. My 8 year old son built and launched two AI-assisted apps on Firebase Studio and learnt the whole end-to-end of a web-app development and its backend. I have created multiple web apps for friends and families to help with their cause and business. Please do not sunset Firebase Studio! We are willing to pay premium fees to keep it running for our company. I have deeply considered and tried Google AI Studio and Antigravity and it does not provide the capabilities of the Firebase Studio including teamworking on the VM by non-coders using the AI prototyper, version tracking/restore, everything running on the cloud, seamless integration with Firebase backend, live preview, and VS code experience (along with terminal, logs, tracking,...) for our advanced coders with just one click.

   Here is why Firebase Studio remains irreplaceable for the ecosystem:

   1. The "Single Pane of Glass" Ecosystem
      Firebase’s greatest triumph is unifying Web, Mobile (iOS/Android), Backend logic, and Databases (Firestore/Realtime DB) under one roof. Firebase Studio is the control center for this ecosystem. Forcing developers to migrate to general-purpose or AI-first platforms risks fragmenting a workflow that is currently seamless, intuitive, and frictionless.

   2. Not Every Project is an AI Project
      Millions of production applications rely on Firebase strictly for rock-solid core infrastructure: Authentication, CRUD operations, Push Notifications, and Cloud Functions. Developers building these foundational, data-driven applications need a dedicated, focused environment. Cluttering this experience with AI-centric interfaces we may not need will drastically reduce our efficiency.

   3. The Burden of Migration and Retraining
      Deprecating a central tool imposes a massive tax on developers, startups, and enterprises. Transitioning away from Firebase Studio means rebuilding established CI/CD pipelines, rewriting internal documentation, and retraining teams on unproven platforms (like Antigravity), pulling valuable time away from actual product development.

   4. The Core Identity of Firebase
      Firebase became the industry standard because it was the easiest, fastest way to go from a blank canvas to a scalable app. Firebase Studio embodies that "simplicity-first" philosophy. Removing it threatens to erode the very Developer Experience (DX) that made developers choose Google Cloud in the first place.

   Our Proposed Solutions:
   We respectfully urge the product team to consider the following alternatives before the 2027 deadline:

   Option A: Cancel the sunset and continue maintaining Firebase Studio as the dedicated hub for core backend/mobile/web infrastructure.

   Option B: Guarantee a dedicated, 1:1 "Firebase Classic Mode" within the new platforms that retains the exact simplicity and feature parity of the current Studio, completely isolated from AI noise.

   Please add a simple button in the Firebase Studio interface (perhaps under the "Project" menu or a "Build" tab) called "Export as Android APK".
   How it should work:
   User clicks "Export as APK".
   Enters App Name and Package ID.
   Firebase builds the project in the cloud and provides a direct download link or a QR code for the phone.
   This would make Firebase the #1 tool for STEM education and help kids like me build tools for internet safety (like my project for blocking gambling and toxic content) much faster.

9. Explicit Context Caching

   Support for Explicit Context Caching in the Gemini API. When applications frequently sends long, static system instructions and large document sets (100k+ tokens) in every prompt. Implementing an explicit cache would significantly reduce latency for users and lower the token overhead by allowing us to persist this context across multiple turns without re-sending the entire prefix.

   Training models is not part of the product direction of Firebase AI Logic. Other platforms like Vertex AI are more suitable for that.

    I am a non techie with very limited knowledge about coding. After several attempts I built a full stack web application using Python Flask and it was nearing completion, but after several iterations and while trying to open the project in the workspace I have not been able to open that project at all. I tried opening through several attempts, but the project is not opening at all. Can anyone help me please open this existing project in firebase studio itself as it was good enough.     First of all, Firebase Studio is really good. But after spending some time using it, I found several issues.

    1. The browser page often stops responding while making changes or refreshing pages. (THE MOST ANNOYING ISSUE)
    2. It takes a very long time to load pages.
    3. The AI sometimes changes things it was not prompted to change, or follows instructions from messages that were sent after a reverted version of the webpage.
    4. The AI occasionally ignores messages and takes no action.
    5. Sometimes when you write a prompt and press Enter, nothing happens and you have to retype it. This usually happens during long sessions when Firebase Studio has been open for several minutes without actions. It is safer to copy your prompt before pressing Enter.
    6. The AI works very well at first, but once the web app grows with many pages and large amounts of data, it loses control and starts doing what it thinks is best. It may rename things on its own, change metadata, or completely redesign pages when you only asked it to replace an image.
    7. The code editor does not provide any feedback that changes have been saved.
    8. You cannot manually create restore points to revert to like the AI does.
    9. When a project is archived and later unarchived for edits, there is no restore point. For example, if I unarchive my project and ask the AI to do something complex and it breaks the project, there is no way to revert to the previous version. A workaround is to ask it to do something simple, like adding a random word in a paragraph and then removing it, just to create a restore point.
    10. The builder overall is very slow. It would be better if there were a local application that could perform the same tasks without the heavy browser lag.

    These are some of the issues I encountered.

    Here are some ideas that could improve it:

    1. Instead of taking actions automatically based on what it thinks is best, the AI should first suggest changes and let the user decide whether to apply them.
    2. Easier image uploading and optimization. For example, I could upload an image to the AI, ask it to optimize it, and then use it. The AI would store it in the database and convert it to WebP or another optimized format.
    3. A prompt queue or real time handling system. While the AI is working on a prompt, I should be able to send another prompt for a different task or add missing information. The system would queue it and handle it automatically once the previous task finishes, or process them in parallel if possible.
    4. An AI action mode. This would allow you to talk with the AI without it taking any actions until that mode is enabled.
    5. AI web search and research mode, allowing it to gather real world data before building something.
    6. AI analyzers and helpers. For example, a dedicated AI that helps specifically with SEO, or one that helps design pages for a specific purpose. If you have a shop page, it could help structure it to maximize sales.
    7. Better brand consistency across pages. Sometimes the AI designs elements completely differently between pages. For example, if you ask it to add a paragraph with three images on one product page and then ask for the same thing on another product page, the layout may look completely different, like it belongs to another website.

    My AI partner and I are building a complex application in Firebase Studio, and I wanted to share our experience because it seems to capture the core issues your community is raising. Our workflow is a bit different. We operate as a deeply integrated human-AI team, following a strict "specification-driven" process where every piece of work is first documented in a project 'codex' before we write a single line of code. The AI isn't just a code generator; it's a genuine partner in architectural decisions and project management. This deep collaboration requires one thing above all else: a shared, persistent understanding of the project's state and history.

    However, this partnership is constantly being sabotaged by the platform's core instability. After a few hours, the AI's memory of our project begins to decay. It forgets our architectural rules, the decisions we made yesterday, and even what we were discussing ten minutes prior. This is the exact "AI Amnesia" problem I see all over the feedback forum. It's not just a conversational annoyance; as the chat history grows, the entire IDE slows down, freezes, and starts to corrupt the AI's responses. We're experiencing precisely why users are begging for a "Reset Assistant" button — because the only way to escape the lag and broken context is to constantly refresh, losing our workflow in the process.

    To stop our project from grinding to a halt, we were forced to build our own solution. We created a codex/ directory to act as a permanent source of truth for project rules, and a history/ log to serve as the AI's daily memory. The AI is now required by its own rules to consult this 'external brain' before every action. It's a lot of extra work for us to maintain, but it’s the only way we’ve been able to achieve a stable workflow.

    In effect, we have manually built a working prototype of the 'Generate Gemini Memory in Project' feature that is one of the top requests from your community. Our system, born out of necessity, proves that a stateful, long-term AI partnership is achievable. We believe our workaround could serve as a valuable case study—and perhaps even a blueprint—for how you could build this capability directly into Firebase Studio for everyone.     I think of gemini have capacity to read multiple image's instead of one at a time it will great. For app prototyper. I think it requires improvement like currently it is suffering from invalid arguments. I think it requires more error handling. And also. The voice mode will Great and for app prototyper if there will option to add own api key for ai will more powerful.

20. Firebase Protype Needs to be more trained on Firebase products like firestore Rules and Genkit

    I have built approx 3-4 apps and each time I had to switch from firebase products to third party providers because google App protype itself faces issues Integrating its own products but works great with third party products.

    Genkit most of the times fails if asked a complecated integration
    Simply imposible to work with Firestore
    Firaebase AUTHentication using Firebase Prototype is like work with AI for a weeek to solve, easier to switch next AUTH or other platforms
