I think this could maybe be achieved by forcing users to use the --erasableSyntaxOnly flag for Typescript. Then modern Node versions would be able to execute the TS code as-is.
But in practice I think I'll always use a bundler for deployed services anyway, because typically I'll be using a monorepo with shared packages and path aliases.

Why would you want sorting conditions be part of a collection storage, when it's client-specific and you already have control in the query.
