Auth onCreate and onDelete triggers for v2 functions

Im having trouble with runners using node20 so i need to upgrade node version. The only limit i've reached is onCreate and onDelete firebase auth trigger functions. Please upgrade them to gen2 functions. Otherwise node20 deprecation will impact on my project

This would be very beneficial! Otherwise I have to move my gen 1 functions to a new directory to upgrade to node 22

I would like the onCreate and onDelete functions to be implemented in firebase-functions/v2/identity
Or some solution with the existing functions since:
Starting August 2025, creating legacy 1st gen functions will only be possible using the gcloud CLI, API or Terraform.

We're being forced off V1 functions and Node 20, with deprecation warnings, but no replacement has been offered for auth triggers? This is seriously problematic.

Can't move to v2 RTDB onUpdate triggers without this. There is no way to know which uid updated a field unless uid itself is in the path. Was surprised to not find auth in v2 triggers.

Yep, we've been waiting for this change for more than a year now. Didn't expect to reach the end of support on V1 functions before we are able to update our code to V2, but here we are. :/
