Proposal for Local Deployment of Firebase Studio to Optimize Performance and Enable Offline Functionality
I recommend deploying a local instance of the Firebase Studio app to allow direct access to system resources (e.g., local files or databases), minimizing cloud dependency and network latency. This setup would enhance performance and support offline operations

Please allow it to link with Cloud Workstations on GCP so we can buy the high spec VMs vs default ones. This will be much easier than local as GCP CW already supports various IDEs except GCP's own FB Studio.

I agree, because I want to use my project for managing highly confidential documents and customers will not be happy if we put the date on the cloud.

I agree. This would greatly help me as I get a limited amount of data per day, and Firebase Studio combined with Live Server takes up a lot of data.

what's wrong with a PWA? it's super easy to implement

it would be amazing to have this, for example your modding a game and you want to launch the game and add the mod to your pc while it was built over on google cloud.

a fast IDX Desktop implementation

I agree about the desktop app but not about Electron or React or whatever web developpers use.
A fast, ressource efficient implementation is what matters. Something written in low-level languages is more suitable. -

.NET MAUI or Uno please.
Customers don't like Electron and other web apps.

Something, using on IDX internet gone (Specially Chromebook), it's should save code and sync when online. (Like google doc, sheets ...)

This is primordial for all developers. Working on a Desktop app is so much better for organization, shortcuts, optimisation. Project IDX is just so developed and so complete, but this is a key feature that has to be added 😊

Vital for our team to use IDX. Chrome does not cut it.
