By-pass Firebase App Check
Running websites on Project IDX against a Firebase backend is super easy.
However, if AppCheck is enabled on the Firebase project it blocks traffic from the Project IDX hosting, essentially making it impossible to conduct any manual user testing.
Ideally Project IDX hosting should be while-listed in some fashion to allow to connect to Firebase resources protected by AppCheck.

Laggy and Less Touch Responsive Online Android Emulator
The current online Android emulator is experiencing significant lag and lacks touch responsiveness, impacting the user experience negatively. This hinders developers' ability to efficiently test and debug their Android applications in a simulated environment.

Android Studio Robo Script Recorder should support Jetpack Compose
With Android Jetpack Compose becomes more and more popular, it is pretty sad to see that Android Studio Robo Script recorder doesn't support Compose screen. Even though robo script support compose but it is very time consuming to generate robo script manually for every Jetpack Compose screen. What makes it even harder is that app crawler is no longer support testing generated robo script locally.

Workspace Limitation
Dear Admin,
I already try Project IDX and I feel like this feature is very useful. But, I feel that the workspace limitation is measly. I hope you can increase the limitation from 2 to 5 maybe. It will helpful that you will consider my feedback.
Thank you.

NestJs Support
NestJS, with its modular and scalable architecture, has become increasingly popular in the TypeScript community. Many developers, myself included, have adopted NestJS for its robust features and ease of development. Having the ability to seamlessly integrate NestJS templates into IDX projects would not only streamline the development process but also open up IDX to a larger audience of TypeScript enthusiasts.
I'd like to see enhanced compatibility with NestJS and TypeScript-based templates.17 votes -

Add Support for common ML and Data analysis workloads
Development around Machine Learning and/or tools for performing ML should also be considered well, specifically around building tools for ML which do not directly involve training (such as experiment tracking, data analysis, etc.)

Dart SDK for Crashlytics
I use Dart on the server, via Serverpod. I would love to be able to record server exceptions to Crashlytics, but right now the Dart support for Crashlytics only works in Flutter, because it relies on the Android and iOS native API support. Dart servers don't/can't run Flutter. There is no REST API for Crashlytics, so the Flutterfire developers can't support pure Dart (I asked them). Can you please add a pure Dart API for Crashlytics, and/or provide a REST endpoint?

Increase request size over 32Mb
Right now, a Firebase function can only accept a request payload size up to 32Mb.
Using it as webhook for some external APIs, we would need to have no limits or at least 100Mb limit5 votes -
In all SDKs for node and web implement industry best practice error reporting and error codes
I have been working on multiple projects that use Firebase, I use the Firebase JS SDK and the Firebase Admin SDK. And I am always pulling my hair out with the error reporting and the ability to handle in the SDKs returned errors. This is especially annoying when using TypeScript.
There is also no master list of all error codes that an SDK can produce. That means I can get random error that I have to back trace to then add handling for it. Also I have to infer types all the time instead of using
instanceofto check if…4 votes
