Is there a plan to allow private repo as well?
I saw only public repos are allowed yet, Is there a plan to extend it to private repo as well? Like I can go to GitHub and press "." and it creates a codespace for me to work with private repo, the only problem is running the build with all the dependencies.

Kotlin support
It's possible to add Kotlin + Gradle through NixOS packages, it'd be easier to have this as a template now (to fast-track Ktor, Android and KMP project creation later)

shadcn/ui not supported?
I tried adding shadcn/ui to my nextjs/typescript/tailwind project. It gives me an unfamiliar error. Maybe its because of the way shadcn components are designed.

Enables access from Spain
Any chance we can get this tool up and running in Spain? It’s like unwrapping a gift you can’t play with! ;)

Do not require third-party cookies
A service released in 2023 should not require third-party cookies to be allowed.
If not for the privacy and usability for its users, then for the project itself, since many browsers are phasing out support for third-party cookies. Firefox already blocks them and chrome will soon do the same:

Collaboratory notebook connection as back-end
It will be awesome to access Collaboratory computing infrastructure as a back-end in a easy to manage connector, specially to build small scale Data/ML projects.

Elixir / Phoenix Template
Elixir is built on top of Erlang. Phoenix is a popular web framework for Elixir projects. I use both as my main stack for both work and personal projects.

I tried creating a template myself but I couldn't get the previews working: https://idx.google.com/elixir-phoenix-test-85975

Rename config file to idx.json
It seems like Project IDX expects a file named "monospace.json", for clarify, it should probably look at a file named idx.json

Better out of the box preview for plain HTML+CSS+JS site
I cloned my static HTML+CSS+JS site.
On a local machine, I could literally double click index.html and get an instant preview. If I wanted to be a bit more fancy, I'd spin upnpx serve
I expected IDX to display a small "preview" icon at the top right when opening an HTML file. It claims support for web, but isn't able to preview the most basic web page out of the box.

Fix login issues for people who registered with a non-Google email/account
Would love to open a bug report but I'm not allowed to do so, for the same reason for which I probably can't log in Project IDX.

Magic link with phone auth
Create magic links in sent SMS messages so users can click on the link in the SMS and log-in into the app, similar to email magic link auth.
