FCM notifications should update iOS's Live Activities
iOS 16 introduced Live Activities, a feature that allows apps to display real-time information on the lock screen and in the notification center. Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) should be able to send notifications to iOS devices, including notifications that update Live Activities.

We are using fcm to send push notifications for our app. We want to support live activities and it would be logical to do it using fcm since we already do for regular push notifications

As a Firebase user, I am interested in utilising this feature in my app, and I would greatly appreciate it if Firebase could provide support for it.

Could you please provide some insights into whether there are any plans to include Live Activity support in Firebase in the near future?

This was added in iOS 16.1, while I understand the team cannot implement it right away, I have difficulties understanding why you are not communicating about it. Firebase is the de facto standard for sending notifications, you need to be a bit more reactive or you're always stay behind Apple
