1. Switching between node versions and angular version

   It would be really cool for the IDX if you would be able to switch between different node version and choose the specific angular version you want for your project, also adding gitlab options would be nice too, thank you

2. Ayude con la creacion y seguimiento de un proyecto por Github

   Al importar un proyecto de github, diria que evidentemente al hacer el proceso de carga y configuracion, todo estaria listo, pero no, o no se si estoy haciendo algo mal, probe creando un proyecto en django desde aqui, crea directamente el entorno virtual y el comando devserver.sh etc, pero al carga un proyecto de django (que no lo usaba con entorno virtual ya que lo trabajaba desde el local) no ayuda a configurarlo para que este funcione bien, ni tampoco ayuda a crear el cmando devserver

   Let me work on the same project from multiple devices at the same time in real-time for ergonomics.

4. Firebase Device Streaming

   Firebase has device streaming which is available in Android Studio. This allows developers to connect to different emulators running on Firebase servers. Having this option in IDX will be a useful tool and we can get access to different emulators such as foldables and more recent Android versions for testing our Flutter apps.

6. Allow generating an .idx file after already initializing a project

   I want to "Enable Nix for this workspace" after the fact, say if I have created or imported a new IDX project. I note that it appears I can manually create a .idx/idx.json file.

10. Incorrect notifications about extension installation

    Installing extensions such as "Python", "Jupyter Notebook" causes an incorrect notification to pop-up showing "Try downloading manually" which is wrong as after a couple of seconds it gets installed correctly.

11. redirects existing localhost API requests to the workspace server

    I have a server I was running locally in development on localhost:3000 that I have now ported to IDX so it runs on the IDX monospace server. It means the frontend no longer works when requesting from localhost:3000. It would be great to automatically redirect requests made to localhost:PORT to the monospace server in future

12. Ability to saved custom made dev.nix configs for future projects

    Since IDX is using nix files to configure an environment, it would probably be best for us to create and save these files and be able to import it into another/future project.

    Specifically "imported from repos" and blank workspaces. That way we wouldn't have to recreate the file or save it in another place when you can just access it from IDX itself.

    IDX should support running Docker containers within the Docker container provided for the runtime, preferably by reusing the host's Docker daemon:

    versus on Codespaces:

15. How to access Android emulator?

    Hi,

    Currently, there is no way to access the Android emulator in IDX. I tried using the shortcut CTRL+SHIFT+P, but there is still no option to view the Android emulator preview.

    Not only the Android emulator preview, but I am also unable to access the Web preview. When clicking on 'Show Web preview', I get this error message: "Command 'Project IDX: Show Web Preview' resulted in an error: command 'monospace.showWebPreview' not found."

    Please help.

17. Grant access to use authentication for login and registration

    I created a login and registration system in Next JS using Next Auth using Google's 0auth, but when the feature is run it is always blocked by a proxy or firewall from the IDX project, even though when I run it on my local PC it is normal

18. Better google drive intergration

    In VS cell and other DEV environments i continually run into issues connecting to google drive AI and waste time in authorcatfication loops. So you have the chance to have better or even automatic integration with Google Drive, which would save so much time and make it easier to move data between different projects.

    While GoogleIDX loads projects faster, setting up a new one requires switching to VS Code to check extensions. Could you add a simple "Notes" section to projects specifically for listing required VS Code extensions? This would save time and keep everything in one place.
