1. Restrict Firebase App Invitations to Only the Intended Google Account (Prevent Forwarded Email Access)

   Hi all,

   We send Firebase app invitations only to our company domain emails, but the invitation email can be forwarded and accepted by a personal Gmail account, which creates a security concern.

   Is there a way to:

   Restrict invitation acceptance to only the Google account that received the email

   Or limit access to company-domain Google accounts only

   Prevent forwarded invitations from granting access to unauthorized users

   Any best practices or Firebase-supported solutions would be appreciated. Thanks!

6. From Firebase Studio to the app stores:

   It would be great if Firebase already had the functionality to export the app in the required formats for publishing to the Google and Apple app stores. Since Firebase is part of the Google pipeline, sending it directly from Firebase to the Google Play Store would already be a great help.

   Right now Firebase app distribution only allows a big flat list of APKs. We want to have a functionality where we can create different tracks such as daily builds, pre release builds, develop builds etc. to help us better manage the different builds and also our users to better select which build they want to install and test

11. App Testing Agent should support Precision Tapping

    The new app testing agent is great, but in one screen in my app I have a text field with multiple links. When told to tap those links (some pop up a pull-up-window, some open a browser), the agent seems to be able to read the text and correctly names each link in the description, so it must be able to read the text on the screen. However, when it tries to tap it always taps in the center of the text box (looking at agent mode, it sees one item for the whole text box, with no differentiation for any of the styling or links in the box).

    Best I can tell, it seems like the agent is looking for the closest hitbox and tapping it (one time it got an overlaid FAB because that was closer to the piece of text it was trying to click than the center of the text box).

    Proposal: an option in a test case step to enable "Precision Tapping", which executes taps exactly where the agent wants instead of at the nearest hitbox

    We develop a companion app for a proprietary bluetooth device. We'd like to be able to use App Testing Agent to test our app while connected via bluetooth. Currently we test with a onprem test farm, but love the idea of App Testing Agent. Maybe Firebase could release a (windows? android?) agent app that could receive commands from App Testing Agent, allowing us to continue using our onprem devices with physical bluetooth connections

13. App Testing Agent should support system settings like dark mode and bluetooth

    The new app testing agent would be well served by being able to adjust a few device level settings. These settings affect test results at this system level / UI testing level, and would be useful for our company. Maybe allow access to the pull-down quick settings dialog?

    • Switching dark mode updates the UI (and restarts the activity). We've had bugs remembering the activity state before.
    • Turning bluetooth on/off changes our UI (we remind the user to turn on bluetooth). This would be a good test case
    • Toggling wifi/internet would be a good test case. Our app should work offline and have good no-internet fallback screens but that's hard to test if the internet is always connected

15. Fastlane - Get automatically app key from google-services.json

    All Android application that included Firebase have mandatory this file : google-services.json

    When we want automatize delivery with fastlane on Firebase, we need to provide many informations on the lane such like "app", "servicecredentialsfile",...

    In fact, many Android projects has one or more build flavors and the delivery can be harder with the configuration on which target we want to deploy.

    We need to store many sensitive informations like key on the env file.
    We not push this file on the repository and it's not a good practice to have them has CI variables.

    The purpose of this feature request is to automatize the retrieve of app key from google-services.json.
    For this, we just need few informations on env / CI file :
    - location of google-services.json (that can be split in an other feature) *1;
    - package name declared on env / CI file.

    Only with your package name, you can retrieve (or not) your app key from google-services.json.
    This is a snippet of code for make this one :

19. Firebase App Tester app not only for testing

    “App Tester” has built-in texts suggesting that all we can do is test.
    If the texts containing “test” were replaced and the app name would be more like “App Distribution”
    then there are more cases than just testing where a mobile app could be very useful.
    It could then help in private distribution of the app, for example among company members etc.
