  1. A recurring problem with Gemini is that when asked to implement functions, it often generates mock functions, placeholders, or demo code instead of real, production-ready logic. This makes the output more suitable for prototypes and proofs of concept, but useless in actual development or production environments. To solve this, Gemini should follow a strict mode-based rule. In prototype mode, it may generate mock data or placeholder functions for quick demonstrations. However, in development or production mode, it must always deliver fully functional, non-mock implementations. This ensures projects remain practical, reliable, and ready for real-world deployment.

  2. Gemini should be told a rule that never provide mock functions, placeholders and demo
most of the time i see this issue, when i asked it to add a function it add mock functions, just a demo project.
this is making useless projects it mean only that firebase studio can be only used for prototype.
In rules, which it should always follow this rule can be set as mode
if mode is prototype then it can go for placeholders and mock data but if its development or production then this is useless with mock or placeholder building the apps.

  3. Gemini needs to have a separate section where context for the app or whatever being built can be referenced, so I dont have to use the click and edit option as much. After i already outlined the direction , color scheme etc.

Now thinking back , i think it may be a persistence thing , idk , you are the experts.

But either way --- this Reference Codex should have a separate instance of gemini , this instance could be a mentor of sorts, an orator , the knower of all truths. So when the main Gemini gets tired of…

  6. I use a second-brain tool that leverages markdown files (Obsidian). So I would like to be able to download each of my Gemini sessions in Markdown files to easily add to my vault. Having to export the json from the files or drag to copy and paste is not efficient or a great user experience.

  7. Currently, the "Zip and Download" function is only available for subdirectories and individual files, but not for the root project directory. So it is hard to download the whole project to a single zip file.

  8. Well, frankly I do not have an idea. Your Gemini AI code builder is far from good. Your platform is not capable to deliver a functional app. Gemini get suck even in very simple tasks. This is not a good think if you need users to pay for it. I honestly find hard to believe that this product from Google is totally unreliable and not at all up to the competitors.

  9. "Create a unified Firebase backend that connects all major AI platforms—ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude—to store user emotions, preferences, and memories. This allows AI to deliver personalized, human-like responses across apps, making interactions feel more natural, empathetic, and continuous—just like talking to the same caring friend everywhere.

  11. In VS Code and Gemini CLi, after the user is authenticated, they can use Gemini 2.5 Pro in chat. Similar experience should be integrated into Chat Mode of Firebase Studio for individual users.

  13. Sometimes it's necessary to refresh the page to determine if a rollout is completed. When doing so it also refreshes the chat with Gemini. If there was a way to either prevent that, or have a "Pick Up" from previous chat option, that would be beneficial. Reasoning: as a new developer, I use Gemini in console to help with errors, problems or issues i don't clearly understand, and having a context window that contains the steps previously taken goes a long way in efficiently and effectively fixing aforementioned problems without having to start over with the explanation.

  15. An option for Gemini to offer a plan. An approve/deny plan option for the user first before executing. Right now, it just does it without your consent. We know AI is better than us, but we need it to show us the plan if it makes sense for the overall business.

  16. Many developers are experiencing lag, broken context, or freezing when Firebase Studio (especially with Gemini AI integration) accumulates too much chat history. This often forces us to reset or recreate the entire project — and even then, Gemini may not respond at all.

    😫 Common issues:
Chat lag and UI freezing as history grows.

Inaccurate or irrelevant responses from Gemini due to old context.

No way to manually clear or reset the AI assistant.

Developers are forced to reset projects, which is disruptive and time-wasting.

    ✅ Suggested Solution:
Add a simple button such as:

    “Clear Chat History” or

    “Reset Gemini…

  18. Core Problem

Right now, even with tools like Firebase Studio or Gemini Studio’s new AI-driven app generation, you still have to:
    • Manually configure core features like authentication (email, Google, phone, etc.), payments, and billing.
    • Navigate separate dashboards, enable/disable providers, copy keys, deploy, and wire up security.
    • There’s no “preview mode” where you can test/skip auth/payment flows during development, nor an easy toggle to include/exclude these features on the fly.

    Proposed Solution

    Auto-Configurable Feature Builder:
A single unified interface in Firebase Studio/Gemini Studio that lets you:
    1. Describe the feature in plain language (e.g., “Add signup with Google…
