2. Option to plan first, approve/deny plan, before executing

   An option for Gemini to offer a plan. An approve/deny plan option for the user first before executing. Right now, it just does it without your consent. We know AI is better than us, but we need it to show us the plan if it makes sense for the overall business.

3. replaces the AI module in Studio since it is a complete joke. There's no way to build a fully functional app.

   Well, frankly I do not have an idea. Your Gemini AI code builder is far from good. Your platform is not capable to deliver a functional app. Gemini get suck even in very simple tasks. This is not a good think if you need users to pay for it. I honestly find hard to believe that this product from Google is totally unreliable and not at all up to the competitors.

5. Better way to backup Gemini Conversations

   I use a second-brain tool that leverages markdown files (Obsidian). So I would like to be able to download each of my Gemini sessions in Markdown files to easily add to my vault. Having to export the json from the files or drag to copy and paste is not efficient or a great user experience.

   I have pro gemini account but i cant even use gemini 2.5 pro in firebase studio. Also which is worse than just use shotgun code with AI Studio. More context and more controll . Also free !

   Gemini when used in gemini.google.com or cursor readily examines screenshots for errors or context toward troubleshooting. Gemini in firebase studio seems to ignore the screenshots.

    When you try to clear the history on Gemini, this doesn't work. This needs to be fixed, otherwise it prevents vibe coding, etc.

14. Improve to match or exceed lovable

    I’ve been using Gemini to build an incident-report importer that cleans up CSV/Excel files and pushes them into Firestore. Right now it’s halfway there, but it still trips over a bunch of annoyances:

    CSV/Excel parsing is fragile. It chokes on stray quotation marks and tiny format quirks. It’d be great if Gemini handled messy quoting and trimming automatically.

    Column mapping is brittle. I need to split “Student Name” into first and last name, normalize years (“7th” → “Year 7”), and drop any unknowns. Having a simple schema-mapping feature would save tons of custom code.

    Validation is manual. I keep wrestling with “Year Unknown” rows and missing “Positive Incident” in my points map. If I could declare “Allowed Years: Year 7–12” and “Category → points” up front, Gemini could flag or fix invalid rows for me.

    Firebase upload setup is clunky. I still have to wire up firebaseadmin.initializeapp(), decide on collection names, write the doc-ID sanitization, then print success/failure logs. A one-click “export to Firestore” snippet would be a massive time-saver.

    Diffs back into my repo. I’d love to point Gemini at my GitHub repo and have it apply these fixes directly to my existing scripts (instead of copy-pasting a whole new file).

    If Gemini could natively:

    Auto-clean and parse CSV/Excel

    Let me visually map source columns to target schema

    Enforce simple validation rules (allowed values, mandatory fields)

    Scaffold the full Firebase-upload code with logging and retry logic

    Push the changes directly back to my GitHub project

    …it would turn a half-baked prototype into a production-ready pipeline. Right now I’m spending more time babysitting the imports than actually using the data. A little more schema awareness and built-in Firestore support would go a long way.

16. Think Different: Gemini Subscription Rant

    Dear product manager, Gemini in Firebase is far from a good and useful product compared to the competition. The usability really sucks yet, however you're already trying to sell a subscription of it.

    Firebase sounds awesome and I'm making some trials. But make a decision:

    Or you try to sell Firebase making it really easy to test and conclude projects using AI with trully integrated Gemini with great workflow usability to built Apps and write code or you try to sell general Gemini subscription here. Other AIs are bringing better results to develop Firebase solutions.

    I'm not buying an early stage Gemini to be able to try Firebase. First make a killing free Gemini with a Firebase workflow integration and amazing support for non-developers and specialised for coding.

    Firebase solution is now unique in the market. If I can make my Apps with a killer AI in Firebase, shut up and take my money for the whole FB ecosystem with a killer integrated Gemini.

    But if you're selling a half baked Gemini integration with FB and a "not yet ready GPT level" for general purposes, I'm simply not changing AI tool subscription and probably it'll take longer to ship my Apps in Firebase.

    Other AIs are helping me more to learn Firebase than Gemini (and they have a Projects session and I can comeback from previous session to continue other day and I have both a killer code making AI and general purpose fast loading teaching AI.

    You'll kill both products trying to sell the one lagging against competition meanwhile you have another one that is unique in the market and that can hook someone now for life due to the steep learning curve. Cheers and kudos for Firebase and the pay as you go billing plan strategy. The product ecosystem is great and it's only missing an integrated AI.

20. allow the bot to have global admin console privledges.

    The bot often has problems performing cli functions. Please allow it to autonomously approve api's, run commands, etc...just provide ui prompts for the user to decline the action if they feel the need.
