IDX should be free
Project IDX is a very powerful software hosted on a cloud. And as a student I feel like these kinds of software should be free or at least should be partially free to users forever, just like Google Colab. The only thing which irritates me that not enough language supports are available currently. Makes those available, and this project becomes a great addition to Google dev community!

Allow Events with Reserved Names as A/B Test Goals
We have several events with the prefix "Firebase_" for irrelevant reasons. These events were successfully added to Google Analytics by sending them via mParticle.
We can view statistics for these events, but we cannot use them as goals for A/B tests. The UI displays the following error:
"Error: Error saving experiment: Can't validate experiment data."
The server response states:
"Cannot use reserved event name: '<event name>'."The suggested workaround is to create new events with non-reserved names based on these existing events. However, there are limits on the number of events you can create, and this adds unnecessary work.

Share phone number with project if Firebase knows that number via another project
Would be a HUGE cost saver given the increased pricing of SMS multi factor authentication.
If Firebase knows the phone number / email via another project, offer the app user to share their phone number with this app and skip costly SMS verification.

I'd like to implement a gen-AI feature in my app for general use by the entire organization, but I need a way to monitor and limit how much they use or the cloud cost could spiral out of control. could we have a token count (both prompt and response) in the status map in the transaction document? this way i can keep track of each user's token consumption. with this, it would then be possible to put a reasonable cap on token usage to prevent abuse.

Allow installation of SAP Fiori extensions
I cannot see an option to install for example SAP Fiori extensions to work with UI5. Seems like some extensions are not available (maybe with telemetry?)

Make workspace limit error actionable
If I have 5 workspaces and I attempt to create another one, I get the following error:
IDX currently has a per-user workspace limit. Please delete one or more workspaces before continuing...
I cannot fix this error on this page. I have to manually navigate to idx.google.com to see my workspaces and delete them.
I would consider the following improvements:
- Add a link to this error that takes you to your workspaces so that you can delete them.
- Show this error earlier. Currently this error is shown when you've filled out the form and pressed the "Create" button. This is…

I would need the ability to offer my students a base project to be forked via a simple link.

Daily usage limitation chart
We were keep getting the Firestore Quota message tough the usage was just 2% in our billing.
After reaching out to the Firebase team, we found out that there are also daily limitations for each action (Read, Write,..) that was hidden in google cloud console.The suggestion is to make the daily limitation chart visible in Firebase, as this error is effecting the users directly.

Firebase authentication needs to support standard user profile attribute mapping
When leveraging firebase for OIDC based authentication, there is data loss in mapping of standard user profile attributes between IdP and app such as given name, family name and other attributes as specified in the standard specifications[1]. Firebase auth must implement the specification properly and ensure against data loss.

Why can't just use apt?
Think with me...
I'm a fullstack dev, that uses Flutter to client-side and Node.js to the server-side.
That's why I downloaded at my personal linux computer, the following CLIs: node, npm and flutter.
But, when I started to try to use idx, I found an obstacle!
The terminal doesn't allow me to use neither apt nor snap, to download flutter SDK to my workspace(that was created by a GitHub repo).
So, I created another workspace, selecting "Flutter" this time.
And now, I can't use node, because APT is not allowed!
Neither sudo exists!(My terminal is bash)

Merge Projects
It would be nice to merge projects. I am building a spring boot, postgres, and angular project but I used the template for angular, spring boot, and postgres and now I have three projects I would like to merge. I know I can dig into the nix file and do it manually, but wouldn't it be nice to merge them with a single click?
