  2. How to access Android emulator?

    Hi,

    Currently, there is no way to access the Android emulator in IDX. I tried using the shortcut CTRL+SHIFT+P, but there is still no option to view the Android emulator preview.

    Not only the Android emulator preview, but I am also unable to access the Web preview. When clicking on 'Show Web preview', I get this error message: "Command 'Project IDX: Show Web Preview' resulted in an error: command 'monospace.showWebPreview' not found."

    Labels and directions in the tutorial are not matching the Firebase console. Configuration steps are vague and not descriptive enough. Example " Add your Firebase configuration to your web app code" section Step 2 makes sense if no app was build, but at this point of the tutorial the app has been created "My Nexst.js app", so these instruction are not right.     Currently Remote Config can be sniffered and there is no option to configure protection from "man in the middle attacks" in client side.
    The best solution is to add support of Certificate Transparency.

    In VS cell and other DEV environments i continually run into issues connecting to google drive AI and waste time in authorcatfication loops. So you have the chance to have better or even automatic integration with Google Drive, which would save so much time and make it easier to move data between different projects.

  8. I need a way in Google Cloud to redirect the public URL of jpeg files of my bucket to a Google Function endpoint for checking headers

In PHP it is easy to do because the script can deliver the image, but here ? I don't know. I need a check on the headers of the website hosting the image, if the header referer is not OK, I want to redirect to an image saying that the real image is not available, or a 403

  11. useEmulator should return False if emulator is not running

    I am currently using firebase/firestore from react native. Currently

    Ideally I would like rc=False if the emulator is not up.

  12. GitLab support for Firebase App Hosting

    We (and I'm sure many others) have large data repositories in GitLab using its CI system, and for technical and political reasons, we do not plan to migrate to any other code repository.

    Firebase App Hosting seems to be tightly integrated with GitHub only. Extending its support to GitLab (or other Git repositories) would greatly help with adoption, even if it requires manual CI configuration.

  14. Allow to downolad a folder as a zip

    I tried to download a folder from my workspace, but it anly allows me to download files.

    So, I .tar the folder using the Terminal to generate a File .tar with the folder inside, and then dowload the .tar to my computer
    I see value in this feature :)

  19. By default, only one project can be created. not enough for learning and testing.

    I created a react project for testing. When I want to create the second project, "IDX currently has a per-user workspace limit. Please delete one or more workspaces before continuing, or reach out to the IDX team for assistance to have limits manually increased." The message came and was not created.
    1. More than one project should be created, the old one should not be deleted for a new attempt.
    2. It is unclear how to reach the IDX team.

  20. "Copy" menu option in Workspace(project) menu.

    "Your workspaces" list my workspace/project.
    Looking for "Copy" option similar from "Rename".
    I couldn't copy the workspace when I would like to duplicate to start similar project.
