2. Make it easier to just pay for advanced models directly without having to manage API key in a separate window

   The fewer clicks the better. Also, I should not have to create a cloud project just to create an api key for my existing firebase studio project. Thanks!

3. Add a delete button to Cloud Functions...

   • There's literally no button to delete cloud functions anymore, i have no ability to delete them besides typing in 3 lines of code into the command line.
   • There's ellipsis buttons that do nothing when tapped.
   • There's a blue block at the bottom right of the view that does nothing and is a UI eye sore.
   • The webpage is in dark mode and hard to see ui elements despite my device not being in dark mode and other google services not in dark mode.
   • There's no support unless i pay.

   I must be in some unknown beta test because there's no way this trash can actually be in production.

6. Add a CLI flag for hosting project previous release count option

   I have an ecommerce SAAS company where each client/tenant website is hosted on Firebase Hosting. We have over 80 websites hosted across six Firebase projects.

   We create each new site using the Firebase CLI:

   firebase hosting:sites:create [options] <siteId>

   The only options for this command are:

   --app <appId> specify an existing Firebase Web App ID
   -h, --help display help for command

   I'd like to request an additional option to set the "previous releases to keep", aka "previous release count".

   After I create a new site, I have to deploy the new website to Firebase hosting before I can set the previous release count on the Firebase Hosting website. The website won't let me set the release count before deploying my first release.

   If I can set this previous release count when creating the site, then I don't have to wait until after I complete these two required steps (plus remember to do it).

   If I forget to set the previous release count, then I'll end up with too many previous releases that I'm paying for that I'll never use.

   Basically, this would eliminate one of the many little annoying steps I need to do manually when launching a new tenant website.

7. Don't require Github integration for App Hosting Backends

   I'm using Cloud Build and deploying to App Hosting using the CLI. We don't have an option when running firebase apphosting:backends:create to not connect a github repo, even though with the CLI deploy option the integration is not necessary. We're able to script setup of Hosting backends, but the github connection requirement in App Hosting disables our ability to script setup of our App Hosting Backends.

9. optimizacion

   A good suggestion I have for you is to be able to delete the chat to improve the flow and optimization of the page. For example, I am making an app and it takes a long time to load, and that bothers me. I even duplicated the project, but it doesn't get any better.

12. Built-in App Versioning & Rollback Feature

    I’ve faced repeated issues in Firebase where making updates or major changes can lead to fatal errors. The biggest frustration is that even the rollback request often fails, leaving no reliable way to restore the project to a stable state.

    Because of this, the only solution I’m forced to use is creating a full duplicate of the entire project every time I want to make major changes. This is inefficient, time-consuming, and increases the risk of inconsistencies.

    • * * Suggestion:

    Introduce built-in versioning for apps (e.g., 1.0.0.01, following semantic versioning best practices).

    Each update/deployment should automatically create a new version checkpoint.

    Provide a version history dashboard to easily track changes, along with the commands/prompts that triggered them.

    Add a rollback mechanism to fully restore a previous version of the app (even if restoring the entire project takes time).

    Eliminates the need to manually duplicate projects for backup.

    Gives developers confidence to make major updates without fear of unrecoverable errors.

    Provides transparency and accountability in the development workflow.

16. Please bring back Project IDX

    Project IDX was far better than Firebase Studio.
    It had cleaner UI, smoother animations, and a more inspiring developer experience.
    Please bring back Project IDX as a standalone product instead of folding it into Firebase Studio.

18. Override build and run scripts apphosting.yaml doesn't work

    I've implemented override build and run scripts in apphosting.yaml following this documentation https://firebase.google.com/docs/app-hosting/configure#override-scripts but it doesn't work. I discovered the we can override the run script by add runCommand in runConfig (https://github.com/FirebaseExtended/firebase-framework-tools?tab=readme-ov-file#runconfig) and this works. But to override build command i can't find the right documentation

    I propose adding a feature that allows users to edit their website's HTML code directly from a real-time visual preview.

    The goal is to be able to click on an element on the web page (for example, a text paragraph, a header, or an image) and have a simple editor pop up to modify its HTML and CSS content. This would eliminate the need to navigate through the file tree, write code from scratch, or rely on AI generation for simple changes.

    💡 Justification and Benefits
    Currently, making minor content changes requires the following workflow:

    View the page in a preview.

    Identify the section that needs a change.

    Go back to the code editor to find the corresponding file and line of code.

    Manually make the change.

    View the page again to verify the result.

    This improvement would dramatically simplify this process. It would allow developers and content creators to make quick text and structure edits directly on the visual interface, similar to how content management systems (CMS) or browser development tools (like Chrome DevTools) work.

    This would lead to a much smoother user experience, a significant saving of time, and greater efficiency for creating and maintaining web projects in Firebase.Studio.
