Support Public distribution group to allow user to install app on their device without authentication
However, Firebase lacks the feature to share debug builds with a public distribution group, like Microsoft AppCenter offers, without adding testers. Sharing public link users should be able to install on their devices without authentication.

Add "Download ZIP Project" option in IDX Workspaces Menu
I would like to request a feature for Google Cloud IDX.
Currently, in My Workspaces, when selecting a project and opening the menu (⋮), we see options like Duplicate, Share, Rename, Restart, Copy Link, and Delete.👉 Please add an option “Download ZIP Project” directly in this menu.
This will allow users to quickly download their entire project as a clean ZIP file without needing to manually zip via terminal or rely on Git. It will be especially helpful for:
Beginners who just want to back up their project.
Users on limited devices who cannot run heavy Git/IDE setups.

I should be able to input a wider range of files into the AI prompt. PDF, html, ect.

The AI agent testing is very basic. It cannot access external urls . It does n ot let me upload files like (pdf,xml etc) to test my application. Hope it gets upgraded in the future

ydata-profiling pre-installed for data analysis
Many times it is needed to work with data, either to build a ML system or test applications. ydata-profiling is the best way to analyse data and it would be great to have it pre-installed already and part of the system.

Select More Than Current Billing Period for Metrics
In the Authentication tab, we can see Daily Active Users and Monthly Active Users for the Current Billing Period. But We can't go back to see these statistics for previous months. Why?

Firebase App Hosting: Full support for Next.js 16
Next.js 16 introduced new APIs and major improvements around caching and rendering behavior. Next also open-sourced its adapter so third-party hosting providers can implement Next.js features more completely and stay aligned with upstream changes.
It would be great if Firebase App Hosting fully supported Next.js 16 by integrating the open-source adapter and ensuring parity with Next.js’s caching and runtime behavior.

Over the past two years, there has been significant growth in the use of Flutter and Firebase to develop mobile apps in Somalia. However, the lack of phone authentication support in this region has created a barrier for developers.
Phone authentication is essential for securing user accounts and is widely used in regions like ours. Enabling this feature in Somalia would greatly benefit both developers and users by improving accessibility and security.
