2. Audible prompting

   Whenever the IDE has stopped processing and is waiting for the user to provide a response, for example, accept an update, it would be nice if the IDE could be configured to omit a small bleep or other attention seeking sound. These days with multi monitor setups, as you wait for one AI window to finish its task, you might well switch to another window to continue with something else. It would be nice just to get a small (optional) audible notification to get your attention.

   There seems to be a problem that if I create an API key for a specific app, the key will still say its under my ownership even though the app was deleted. Could you add a API key manager integrated into Firebase Studio itself so this problem doesn't occur?

8. Allow setting Refresh Token experation

   Allow setting the experation time for refresh tokens. This is important in environments where security is paramount and would allow for user session to automatically expire after a given amount of time.

   Currently this can be done with some work via the admin API, but seems to make much more sense as a setting, in line with other idPs such as Cognito1 and Auth02

10. Improve to match or exceed lovable

    I’ve been using Gemini to build an incident-report importer that cleans up CSV/Excel files and pushes them into Firestore. Right now it’s halfway there, but it still trips over a bunch of annoyances:

    CSV/Excel parsing is fragile. It chokes on stray quotation marks and tiny format quirks. It’d be great if Gemini handled messy quoting and trimming automatically.

    Column mapping is brittle. I need to split “Student Name” into first and last name, normalize years (“7th” → “Year 7”), and drop any unknowns. Having a simple schema-mapping feature would save tons of custom code.

    Validation is manual. I keep wrestling with “Year Unknown” rows and missing “Positive Incident” in my points map. If I could declare “Allowed Years: Year 7–12” and “Category → points” up front, Gemini could flag or fix invalid rows for me.

    Firebase upload setup is clunky. I still have to wire up firebaseadmin.initializeapp(), decide on collection names, write the doc-ID sanitization, then print success/failure logs. A one-click “export to Firestore” snippet would be a massive time-saver.

    Diffs back into my repo. I’d love to point Gemini at my GitHub repo and have it apply these fixes directly to my existing scripts (instead of copy-pasting a whole new file).

    If Gemini could natively:

    Auto-clean and parse CSV/Excel

    Let me visually map source columns to target schema

    Enforce simple validation rules (allowed values, mandatory fields)

    Scaffold the full Firebase-upload code with logging and retry logic

    Push the changes directly back to my GitHub project

    …it would turn a half-baked prototype into a production-ready pipeline. Right now I’m spending more time babysitting the imports than actually using the data. A little more schema awareness and built-in Firestore support would go a long way.

18. Alternative Approach for Node.js Prototyping

    You're correct that Prototyper is generally used for frontend and design work. It's not a tool that’s available directly in a Node.js environment, as it's more geared towards frontend prototyping and visualizing the application flow before integrating the backend. If you want to build prototypes with Node.js backend features (such as role management, authentication, etc.), you'll have to use a combination of tools for the rapid development and design of the backend and frontend.
