Add TTL dynamically
Similar to the way we can define an index in firestore with
firestore.indexes.json. I'm proposing afirestore.ttl.jsonwhere the TTL properties would be deployed uponfirebase deploy, instead of having to go in the console UI or alternative methods.Those configuration files are useful when switching environment as this minimize the configuration required when going from dev, to staging, to prod. Centralizing those in one place makes it easier.

IOS SIMULATOR BUG
Attention Project IDX Team, there's an issue with the simulator not simulating when lib files are changed in Flutter. Interestingly, Android runs normally. Please investigate and address this anomaly promptly. Thank you.

Make mapped URLs to work seamlessly between projects
If I have different services across different projects (E. g. an Angular font end and an NestJS back end) there should be a way to set the jwt cookie automatically for the front end to communicate with the backend in the preview despite the back end and front end being in different IDX projects

deploy specific extension
Allow deployment from CLI of specific extensions, to avoid uploading and updating all extensions unnecessarily.
i.e. firebase deploy --only extensions:<name of extension>
Just like we can with functions.

Put the button to run a query on bottom not top in the console's query builder
In the console, after building a query in the query builder, one has to scroll up again and again to run it, it's an inconvenience when the query is long and has to be changed multiple times.
Putting the button at the bottom can make it easier to change and test out queries3 votes -
Send A/B Experiment name and User group along with values
Unfortunately it seems impossible to determine on client side whether user is involved to test or in which group he is. It will be great to receive such data along with the value.

...can have direct URL's that don't have a location redirect
Currently we can have URLs that forward to localhost. But these use a redirect (30x). Some environments don't accept a location redirect. For example, we are developing Google Workspace Add-ons and it would be a great usecase for it, but we need a tool like ngrok to connect add-ons to our endpoints, since they need a 200 response.

Ability to split Python Functions into multiple files (=enable local imports)
Right now it is only possible to write functions in
main.py, which very quickly gets overwhelmingly large. It would be good to be able to organize code into multiple files.3 votes -
Firebase In-App Messaging
Currenty I do not see any option to "Compose a campaign" via APIs. If we could open up all the inapp creation/management interactions via APIs, it would be easy for companies to leverage those to customize their composing experience.

Green/Blue deployment pattern
Allow for deployments to be either a green or blue deployment to be able to have multiple instances of the same functions deployed within a single Firebase project.
This would help cover the gap of time between releases of client apps and Cloud Functions, which if not handled correctly cause production issues.

HTTPS Proxy with Authentication
Firebase currently does not have a clear way of supporting HTTPS proxy. If the network is limited by OEM's restrictions, or firewalls then Firebase Crashlytics won't operate. Probably no Firebase service will be able to work.
We can set the domain and the port for HTTP proxy, but then it is not authenticated.

Disable Passwordless Sign-In for E-mail
As Firebase is retiring Dynamic Links, it is no longer possible to set up the Dynamic Link required for Passwordless Sign-In via e-mail. I recommend that either Firebase disable Passwordless Sign-In, or that they update their documentation outlining the new method to do Passwordless Sign-In without their Dynamic Link.

Support yarn and/or pnpm for frameworks
Currently frameworks only used npm
This can cause issues if using yarn or pnpm, and npm does not read the lockfile and you can end up with different versions of dependencies in production
Deployments with frameworks should detect the package manager used

Firestore UI in Firebase Console - Weird bugs
Some issues with Firestore data in the console:
I've noticed that when loading some records in Firestore, the UI will often load for an unusually long period of time (seems like it just hangs), and then as soon as I scroll the window the loading state goes away and the data is shown.
Not sure if that's a bug or something, but it's annoying.
Additionally, several times now I have gone to add data to Firestore, created a new record and added several fields individually only to find upon reloading the page that my authentication token must've been expired and…

ANRs metric for A/B testing Android apps
We currently have a Crash-free users metric, but we don't have a metric to track ANRs. This makes it impossible to validate a fix for ANRs or detect regressions.
