    As with other AI IDEs like Cursor or Windsurf it should be possible to configure MCP, so I can leverage the power of MCP while vibe coding. Gemini tends to hallucinate ******* APIs.

  7. Error al "Empezar" con Storage

    Bug o error reportado como desconocido al "Empezar" con Storage.
    Error: Al querer "Empezar" Storage teniendo un plan spark me deja continuar hasta "Crear" pero luego tira un "Error desconocido". Pero pude verificar que ese error desconocido se debe a que para habilitar el Storage debo tener el plan Blaze habilitado. Es necesario que modifiquen el mensaje, ya que los usuarios no pueden saber el porque del error si el mensaje no es correcto. Yo estuve 3 días intentando "Empezar" con storage hasta qeu me pase al plan Blaze aunque no sabía si iba a funcionar.

    I wish it can change the project to company's own project/website/platform.
    So I don't have to use my credit card and reimburse from the company later when I publish it.
    If I leave the company it means that I cannot transfer the ownership to anyone to keep the project on going.

  12. Using Firebase Studio on mobile devices.

    I recommend full support for mobile applications or mobile browsers.
    I usually use Firebase Studio on my mobile device. But unfortunately, I can't even do the simplest select, copy, paste operations. When I want to select codes, the context menu opens.
    This was just the most annoying example. We really have a hard time using it on mobile. Thank you for your efforts

    Please publish the community support plugin for Astro so that Astro SSR can be zero-config deployed via App Hosting. Trying to make it work through Firebase Hosting via the standalone node server is quite problematic with issues on how to validate the cookies of Firebase Auth in the SSR environment using client side SDK.

  18. Link Firebase Studio with Cloud Workstation on GCP

    Current default FB Studio web UI is very slow both in code and prototype view. The issue the default VM is lower spec (because it is free). Many customers are willing to pay for higher speed. So either up the specs for paid plans or allow to link with existing Cloud Workstation in GCP which supports many IDEs except Firebase Studio. This will allow users to up the specs on VM/workstation without needing local dev.

    With growing tensions between the US and EU, European enterprise customers' concerns about data privacy are growing.

    In order to continue using Firebase as a core technology stack, customers are demanding additional assurances, such as CMEK or even externally managed encryption keys (like those managed by Thales or T-Systems).

    Often, those enterprise customers are major revenue drivers, making service providers dependent on Firebase question their choice of Firebase as their infrastructure.

    This can be a primary driver for adoption away from Firebase services as a whole to different services or platforms.
