Setting claims to AppCheck token
We use AppCheck for protecting server. But we don't know if this token is shared from other users or not, because the token doesn't have any user identity who issued the token. We would like to set userID to the claims in creating AppCheckToken. And at server, we check userID in the claims.

5 emails
I saw this on the documentation website: "Note: The limits for email link sign-in emails were recently changed. Please add a billing instrument to go beyond 5 email link sign-in emails."
It's really strange that you quietly set the limit of sign-in emails to 5. Why? It makes no sense. For testing it's too low, and for production of course.
First you hook developers up to Firebase and then you quietly lower the limits. Good business practices.

A SQL based database
Currently Firebase supports JSON & NoSQL Datastore which is a cool thing, but what is currently a pain point is that for building more complex apps with a lot of linked data is such an hassle with NoSQL Databases.
This is one reason people are pivoting from Firebase for anything long term, if there is a way to host relational data like a SQL instance (Postgres/MySQL) it will make firebase an Ideal solution for apps of any scale.
I would also happy to share some of the case studies of business which are looking forward to this specific thing.

Easy Import / Export from Firebase Emulators UI
Emulators are meant for rapid testing.
There should be a tool that enables easy fine/grain control for importing and exporting data from the Firebase UI for Firestore, Storage, and Auth from the user interface.
Trying to manually modify data in the interface is fairly awful.
It would be nice to be able to mix and match different pre-made documents or collections to set up different types of environments.
The command line import/export is ok, but still fairly tedious and limiting in its setup.

Custom Claims Editor
Show Custom Claims and allow them to be managed in the Firebase Authentication Console (like in the Emulator). Usefull for manually creating the first super user, for example.

Custom SQL Schema Migrations
The automatic custom schema migrations are great, but when managing an API expressed almost explicitly by the schema, there needs to be a clear dev story of how to migrate the database schema yourself, and move data in custom ways, while still allowing the exposed api to be backwards compatible. This can be very challenging with automatic migrations.

Page not found
I created a deeplink that opens in the in-app browser.
Sometimes this deeplink works correctly for some users, while for others it does not. When it doesn't work, users are redirected to a Firebase error page (Page Not Found).I tried encoding the URL used as the Dynamic Link,
but it still sometimes results in a Page Not Found error. The main issue is that the same Dynamic Link URL works for some users but not for others.
What could be the cause of this?1 vote -
Add support for Remote Config conditions on servers
It's really nice to see Remote Config to come to the servers.
For us it would be crucial to be able to use conditions in Remote Config on the server as well.
Specifically we are looking at targeting by user properties (these could maybe be loaded and passed by us during evaluation).
e.g.
serverTemplate.evaluate({userProperties: { .. } })3 votes -

Having pure Dart SDKs for Firebase
Note: If your top priority is to use Flutter with Firebase on Windows/Linux, this may not be the best option.
Currently, the Flutter SDKs (also known as FlutterFire) are wrappers around other existing SDKs, such as the iOS, Android, and web SDKs. This allows Flutter apps to target these platforms when using Firebase. However, if a Flutter app needs to target other platforms, it is not possible. A pure Dart SDK would allow developers to target all the devices that Flutter supports, but they would need to manually customize the integration with Google Analytics in Firebase. This manual integration could…

should include updating the In-App messaging data dynamically based on the triggered event bundle received from the app
The current functionality of the In-App messaging feature is basically a one-way communication from Firebase to app for the means of providing data with just the triggering point from the app side. It would be great if the event triggered carries a bundle data to update the In-App message data before showing it in the app. This will be a game changer in my opinion.

Firebase Setup infrastructure
I'm creating an Open Source Cloud Native Platform based on Firebase. Every installation requires manual steps, to enable specific APIs.
Please provide a configuration file where I can configure all required Google Cloud services (like Google Translate, Storage, Artifact Registry, etc ...).
It will facilitate the automatic installation of Firebase applications.1 vote -
Use of FirebaseMessagingException should be possible in unit tests
The
FirebaseMessagingExceptionclass issealedwith aninternalconstructor and no interface. This means we cannot test our code that handles this exception because we can't create this type of exception nor can we mock it due to the lack of an interface.4 votes -
Add support to programmatically configure social providers for tenants
Add the ability to configure social authentication methods like Google, Facebook, etc. like how OIDC and SAML can be done.
Also, the ability to use the parent configuration for Google Authentication so it is just an enable like in the Web Console UI. This reduces the overhead code that we need to provide if all we are doing is splitting into different tenants for management reasons.
