  1. Support skipping deploy targets that are configured empty

    Sometimes you have deploy target that you want to not deploy in some projects.

    Currently if a deploy target is not configured or empty, the CLI will error.

    It would be nice if it just skipped deploying that configuration if the deploy target is explicitly configured empty.

    This is also useful to allow varying configuration in different projects, as you can deploy different target configurations depending on the selected project this way.

  7. Postgres Functions exposed as an API

    Similar services, like postgraphile, allow exposing queries / mutations as postgres functions. It's extremely powerful, and allow extremely custom queries / logic for exposing data to the clients.

  8. Web SDK generation to also export schema types

    Currently the dataconnect:sdk:generate command in firebase-tools will generate functions for queries and mutations. There are cases where having TypeScript interface reflections of the schema types would also be beneficial.

    AFAIK there's no existing tooling that will conveniently do this mapping (due missing types that one can find in .dataconnect/schema/prelude.gql when the emulator is running).

  10. Have a Realtime Database located in Australia ( Sydney or Melbourne )

    As of this writing, our only option for Database location is US Central, Belgium and Southeast Asia. Having a new region under Australia would be great.

    En un proyecto de flutter, se muestra una linea vertical en el medio del editor de texto, la cual resulta visualmente molesta y no consigo forma de ocultarla. Tengo entendido que es una linea para ayudar a mantener el texto organizado al funcionar como una guia, pero seria bueno poder ocultarla o modificarla.

  17. doesn't deprecate Firebase Dynamic Links and separately charge for the feature as part of the Blaze plan.

    Firebase Dynamic Links are slated to be fully removed by Aug, 2025 but it is such a wonderful feature and I am not sure why is it removed from Firebase suite. I am willing to pay for it and I am sure there are many other users willing to pay for it.

    Firebase has a server (backend) library called the Admin SDK, which has privileged (admin) access to some Firebase services. There are several language implementations of the Admin SDK: JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js), Java, Python, Go, and C# (.NET). However, Firebase does not currently support the Dart language.

    This is a problem for full-stack Flutter developers, who need to use both the front-end and back-end of a Firebase application. Currently, they need to use different languages for each, such as Dart for the front-end and JavaScript/TypeScript for the back-end. This can lead to decreased productivity and a worse developer experience.

  19. Add IS_NOT_NULL (x.where("field", "!=", None)) operator to filters

    This allows filters like x.where("field", "!=", None) to work, matching the JavaScript implementation and Firestore GUI implementation. The feature is late by 4 years.
