Prototype for Importing Project via GITHUB
When I import my project from GitHub into Firebase, I don’t see an option to enable or use the Prototype feature. It would be extremely helpful if this option were available during the import process.
For context, I’m using the language and framework mentioned in the Firebase examples—Next.js with TypeScript.
I’d appreciate it if this functionality could be included or clarified in future updates.

Firefox extension support with Firebase Auth
I have created a chrome extension using firebase auth and I am trying to create a Firefox version of the chrome extension.
It seems that Firefox extension domains (moz-extenion://) are not allowed to be added to authorized domains in firebase making it not possible to using firebase auth I am assuming.
Is this simple feature addition in the pipeline - to allow web-extensions (not just chrome) domains to utilise firebase auth?
Are there any other workarounds?

I would love this to be a loveable.dev but on steroids. Connecting fully and easily with all the databases and backend software google has
I would love for the studio to allow for prompt engineering all the backend. Similar to lovable with supabase but ideally prompt to connect to all the amazing services google has!

Add a delete/create all users info. buttom in the main page by defualt
I recently hit a wall with a recurring issue while developing in Firebase Studio, and I bet some of you might have experienced something similar. I spent hours trying to debug and fix problems related to persistent local data. No matter what changes I made or what data I tried to clear in my app, certain user data and personal settings just seemed to stick around locally, even after restarting!
This led to a lot of frustration. I found myself adding "delete data" buttons to almost every page of my app just to get a clean slate for testing. Eventually,…

New knowledge used to develop potential from beginners to the most qualified developers.
In this section, I just tried it for the first time and am excited about many platforms that are developing tools that will help developers express their ideas more effectively in the future, including being a learning space for new developers like me who are interested in and want to be quality developers by combining ideas with the current trending AI technology. You are both inventors, designers, and developers who are involved in creating things that work great and look better. And I will gain the most knowledge from this platform in creating quality work, including database security. Thank you…

To make Firebase Studio truly unbeatable, I suggest focusing on two key features:
To make Firebase Studio truly unbeatable, I suggest focusing on two key features:
Offline Support or Enhanced Performance: As projects grow in size, the prototyper tends to slow down significantly. Introducing an offline version or optimizing the prototyper for better performance with large resources would greatly enhance the user experience.
Cross-Platform Conversion: After developing a web application, providing a seamless way to convert the same project—with the same structure—into Android and iOS apps would be incredibly valuable. This would streamline the development process and reduce duplication of effort.

NDK Thread Names
Crashltyics seems to display thread names for iOS apps, but not for Android. Sorting through Thread #1...50 is not ideal in a complex application. Nearly all our threads are in the NDK, and are just pthreads. The call to obtain the (15+endofstring) thread name is one line of code from the pthread_id.
This was my original query about adding this support, and has the pthread query.

Rich Text Editor
A rich text editor enables users to format content with bold, italics, underlining, lists, links, colors, and embedded media—much like a mini word processor inside an app. It supports WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) functionality, ensuring that users preview final formatting in real-time. Essential for apps involving content creation, blogging, messaging, or note-taking, a rich text editor improves user engagement and expression. Features like undo/redo, custom styles, and Markdown/HTML output enhance flexibility. Ideal for both web and mobile, this tool can be tailored for user-generated content, making app interfaces more interactive and user-friendly.

Vedic Astrology API Support
Vedic Astrology API support integrates ancient astrological calculations into modern applications. By connecting to an astrology API, apps can generate natal charts, planetary positions, dashas, transits, and personalized predictions based on birth details. This empowers developers to build features like daily horoscopes, matchmaking, muhurta selection, and dosha analysis. API support ensures precise Panchang data, customizable ayanamsa, and time zone handling. Ideal for wellness, spirituality, or cultural apps, it brings authenticity and accuracy to astrological content. Developers benefit from quick integration, automated chart generation, and multilingual support, providing users with deep insights from India’s time-tested astrological traditions.

The ability to send pushes to imported segments and google analytics audiences
Right now the API only allows you to send to topics which is very limited. Ideally the API would support more complex pushes like the firebase interface which includes
- Imported Segments
- Google Analytics Audiences
- Filters on User Properties
- Device type / versionsIdeally the API would allow us the same power as your form.
Many thanks for your consideration

Feature Request: Add SSH Access to idx/firestudio for Local Terminal Integration
It would be really helpful if idx/firestudio supported SSH access so that developers can connect to their IDX workspace directly from their local system terminal. This would allow us to use our local terminal environment, aliases, shortcuts, and tools while working on code hosted in IDX.
Having SSH support would:
Improve developer productivity
Enable easier integration with local tools and workflows
Provide a more flexible development experience
I request that this feature be considered and added as soon as possible. It would make a big difference in daily development tasks.

Git controls in Studio UI
Firebase studio should have some git controls which allow me to commit and rollback to commits, so that if I want to try something experimental I don't have to worry about ruining my whole app and not being able to roll back.
Relying on AI to undo changes is very iffy, especially if the change it was making was a mistake in the first place.
I should also be able to branch my experiments, and switch between branches.1 vote -

Add an alert sound to play when file changes are finished,
When using AI to make edits, you have to constantly check back to see if it is finished. It would be nice if you can get some type of notification when the changes are finished so you can work more efficiently (i.e. not having to flip back to check it's status).
