Support for Jetpack Compose in Analytics and PerfMon
Right now, there is no support for Jetpack Compose. If you have a single Activity and use composables to navigate through your app, without custom events, nothing is really tracked. So the request add navigate support for screen views based on composables like we have for Activities and Fragments.

Support Swift in Cloud Functions
Swift is a much beloved and popular language for writing apps on the Apple platforms, but increasingly, it is also being used server side and even for writing cross platform business logic on Android and on Windows.
Being able to share models and business logic between your clients and server would be an amazing productivity boost. And being able to develop in a language that focuses on safety would eliminate categories of issues that can exist if you develop in say Javascript or Typescript.

Allow Android/iOS apps to select dynamically which Firebase project should be used on startup
Some scenarios require dynamically switching from one Firebase project to another, including Analytics and Crashlytics, For example, switching from a Firebase project set up for a staging environment (which requires to collect Analytics and crashes) to another set up for a production environment.
There could be many solutions to this problem, such as having multiple plist/json files and switching them dynamically, or no longer requiring these files and simply using object instances that store the configuration (e.g., using the FirebaseOptions builder). The best solution should satisfy the scenario described above.
This idea comes from this issue https://github.com/firebase/firebase-android-sdk/issues/66

Firebase SDK for compose-multiplatform that can support Android, iOS, Web and Desktop
As compose-multiplatform now supports iOS app development hence compose may see a very good in-take by the developers in the near future. The way Firebase Flutter SDK got introduced in a similar way if SDK for compose-multiplatform can be introduced for the developers then it will be super beneficial for them.

Add ability to set release version.
Right now we can not control version. After deploy version at api looks like this:
"sites/<site_name>/versions/2e65a07a8886cdb4"I want to be able to provide my own string (git hashtag, semver, etc). It requires to match source code and deployed version. The version should be shown at UI and we should be able to rollback based on this version. During deploy with the same version CLI should throw error.

Create custom OTP request to revalidate user
Firebase should have capability for the developer to generate OTP (sent on cellphone or email as per developer's requirement) and should have a mechanism to validate the OTP.
This will be very useful during user authentication when changing some critical data/setting (especially related to finance/money) or when making payment.4 votes -
Dashboard for Firesbase Realtime database security rules
The dashboard will enable developers utilise a drag and drop (what you see is what you get) UI to configure database and cloud storage security rules with ease, and on the back end it converts the "drag and drop graphical representation" into script security rules.

Custom quality control for "latest release"
Latest Release is a very useful functionality. For us, even when we have crashes that are worth hot-fixing, it shows as successful. It must go terribly wrong in order to see "Needs investigation" label. This is because these thresholds are hard-coded. It would be great to configure these thresholds

One view for all apps in Crashlytics
In a large project with 10+ apps, you have to select projects one by one to see crashes and all other details. Just like Google Analytics and some others (in the same tool), treat app ids as filters and provide ability to see everything at once.

Option to enable MFA by provider
There should be an option to turn on MFA for a user for specific provider (e.g., password). Since user's Google signin might have MFA already, it's sort of inconvenient to have extra MFA barrier for Firebase Auth tenant.

Crashlytics custom alerts
Crashlytics velocity alerting mechanism is very basic and it unfortunately generates a lot of false positive alerts. Support more advanced alarm settings

MFA option to "remember device"
User shouldn't have to enter MFA every time logging in on same device. There should be a boolean option remember device for some period of time (somewhere between 2 weeks and forever)

Copy link to specific release from the App Distribution web app/page on device.
Not all members of our team have access to the Firebase Dashboard. From the Dashboard you can copy a link for each specific App Distribution release. But from the Web App on Device you can't access the individual links/pages of releases. It would be nice if there would be a share button or "Copy link" button next to each release in the mobile web app to quickly share specific releases to team members.
- CI/CD uploads a new versions for different branches.
- A few hours later the tester checks the App Distribution web app and sees the new build for his/her…

Way to access tracelog of firestore events (onCreate, onUpdate, onDelete)
One frequent and strange bug we are facing with firestore is the dropping of events when designing large batch onWrite-listeners. This leads to unexpected bugs in production code.
For some reason, when executing say 300 to 1000 onCreates at once, different events seem to drop and are never responded too.
A way to access the tracelog of firestore events (in Stage 1 Cloud functions) would help us debug this problem. It would also help replay event streams in case the database is corrupted due to non-responding to the event streams.

Get rid of the egress data transfer fee for Firebase Storage
Rework Firebase Storage pricing to compete with Cloudflare R2. Even if Firebase Storage has some unique features like Firebase security rules, this does not justify the egress cost.

A/B Testing with Remote Config for Web
It would be useful to allow creating A/B tests based on Remote Config for the web platform, since Google Optimize is going to be sunset later this year.
70 votesWe are working on A/B testing with remote config for web. This work will also include support for gradual roll outs for web apps
